Visit to Leksand, Siljansnäs and beautiful Lake Siljan. In Mora visit a factory making Dala horses like they have always done and the finishing line for Vasaloppet, which is an annual cross country skiing event.
Continue from Dalarna to Hälsingland known for its famous decorated farmhouses (seven of them are on the UNESCO World Heritage list). They show how independent farmers who had accumulated wealth through forestry and flax production used their wealth to build new homes with elaborately decorated special rooms or separate buildings reserved for festivities.
